The Director of Product Management at Quantum Corporation will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our product portfolio, driving innovation in data storage, protection, and management solutions. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering Quantum’s product portfolio roadmaps to meet evolving market demands and customer needs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and long-term growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Responsible for execution of Quantum’s product vision and strategy across all product lines.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for each product line aligned with business goals.
- Identify emerging technologies and market trends to inform product direction.
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle: concept, design, development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
- Act as the primary liaison between key functional stakeholder groups and the product teams.
- Collaborate with Engineering to implement, evolve, and improve Agile Scrum processes.
- Market & Customer Insights
- Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities.
- Gather and prioritize customer requirements to influence product decisions.
- Establish a Voice of the Customer and Market Sensing processes and functions across internal and external stakeholders.
- Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Implement modern tools and integrate AI technologies into core Product Management processes and functions to increase quality, efficiency, consistency, and repeatability of work products and deliverables.
- Performance & Metrics
- Define and track KPIs for product success, including revenue growth, adoption rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Present product performance insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Establish and manage quarterly OKR’s for the product line PM’s.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- MBA is desirable, but not required.
- Experience:
- 15+ years in product management, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing complex product portfolios in technology or data solutions.
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of storage, data management, and emerging technologies.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills – ability to define and structure problems, collect and analyze data, and synthesize defendable recommendations into actionable plans.
- Ability to lead, influence, and hold cross-functional teams accountable.
- Clear, effective communication and strong presentation skills with a keen ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
- Experience with Agile Scrum development methodologies and understanding of software development processes.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products through their lifecycle.
- A passion for technology and ability to stay on top of evolving market trends and technology advancements.
- Strong business technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-grade software capabilities.
- Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills – with the ability to develop work in relationships at all levels of the organization, both inside and outside of Quantum.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment.
- Ability to travel as required.

Anticipated Base Salary Earnings Range: $150,000 - $200,000
The above pay range represents Quantum's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Pay within or outside of the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, knowledge/education, skills/abilities, internal equity, and budgetary considerations.
