Job Summary:
The Director of Clinical Services will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our clinician network, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians performing health risk assessments.
This role is responsible for driving clinical quality, performance outcomes, and operational consistency across a distributed provider network. You will lead clinical managers, oversee KPI performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and value-based care outcomes through strong leadership, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Duties:
- Provide strategic and operational oversight of the clinician network (NPs, PAs, MDs, DOs) in a remote environment
- Lead and develop Clinical Managers, ensuring alignment to organizational and clinical goals
- Oversee ongoing engagement of clinicians across the network
- Act as escalation point for complex clinical and operational issues
- Own and monitor clinical KPIs, productivity metrics, and quality outcomes
- Analyze performance trends and implement improvement initiatives to optimize clinician effectiveness
- Ensure consistent clinical documentation quality and adherence to company standards
- Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines, state and federal regulations, and internal policies
- Standardize clinical workflows and processes across the network
- Partner with technology and operations teams to optimize clinical tools and processes
- Ensure alignment of clinical operations with company business objectives
- Foster a high-performing clinical culture focused on quality, accountability, and engagement
- Identify education gaps and partner with education department to create and update training materials
- Serve as a liaison between clinical leadership and broader business functions
Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- State license as NP/PA required; ability to obtain licensure in additional states upon request
- 5+ years management experience preferred
- Experience with risk adjustment, health risk assessments, or value-based care models
- Experience managing remote clinicians
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree
- Active NP or PA license with the ability to obtain multi-state licensure
Travel:
- Travel up to 25%, may include overnights and weekends
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift to twenty pounds at times
- Ability to bend, stoop
- Ability to travel domestically as needed
