Position Summary

Oversee the staffing of homes, the monitoring and training of the documentation system utilized by the agency and the oversight of employee hours worked, including the tracking of overtime hours. Adheres to state and local regulations, federal accreditation standards and procures funding. Is committed to the vision, mission, values, and goals of the agency.

  • Provide leadership to Program Supervisors, Home Managers and Direct Support Professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for the people supported while fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Conduct performance feedback and evaluations for Program Supervisors. Support Program Supervisors with employee performance feedback and evaluations.
  • Coordinate and complete documentation for employee transitions, resignations and ending of employment.
  • Facilitate professional development, training opportunities and monthly department meetings to enhance the team’s competencies.
  • Encourage effective communication among the team through various communication channels.
  • Collaborate with the team to streamline the recruitment process, providing expertise in interviewing and selecting quality candidates who align with Sunnyhill’s mission.
  • Maintain professional relationships with the people we support, their guardians, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all inquiries and requests are addressed with a 48-hour timeframe, upholding the highest standards of customer service and support.
  • Oversee compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring all assigned caseloads meet deadlines and reporting requirements. Implement checks to maintain the integrity and accuracy of records.
  • Lead the quality assurance process by supervising the execution of duties by Program Supervisors and their teams, ensuring that all tasks are performed to the highest standards and withing established timelines.
  • Conduct regular, at minimum quarterly, visits to assigned homes. Complete quarterly site safety visit and checklist for assigned homes.
  • Oversee schedules for ISL homes and manage DSP Floater assignments in accordance with staffing patterns. Monitor overtime to align with budget constraints.
  • Provide 24/7 on call support to Program Supervisors, as needed, and fill in as acting Program Supervisor when they are absent.
  • Assist with intake process for homes to ensure a smooth transition and comprehensive onboarding process.
  • Approve and monitor incidents, ensure all reports are submitted to the Department of Mental Health (DMH) within the required timeframe, and ensure follow-up action has been resolved. Collaborate with internal and external parties for allegation of abuse/neglect.
  • Exhibits professional behavior when on duty and/or while representing self as an employee of Sunnyhill; interacts appropriately and in a positive manner with other Sunnyhill employees.
  • Ensure compliance of monthly paperwork for assigned sites.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for identified restrictions in REDCap for review, while maintaining the restriction spreadsheet, ensuring timely follow-up, and coordinating the annual review of existing restrictions.
Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, or related field (unless a DMH Exemption is obtained).
  • Three (3) years of directly related experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Required Skills/Abilities & Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication through electronic documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, problem solve and function well in a high-paced (at times stressful) environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, use of personal vehicle required.
  • Acceptable background checks.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform life saving measures such as CPR or abdominal thrusts.
  • Able to stand, walk, and sit four (4) hours at a time.
  • Repetitive bending and reaching up to two (2) hours a day.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds from floor to waist.
