Nissin Foods

Purpose Responsible for the creation of kessaishos as needed in the department. Follows-up with the custom brokers regarding deliveries of imported materials. Coordinates with oversea vendors regarding documents and shipments schedules. To ensure the safety and quality of the products that the line produces.


Essential Functions- Job Duties: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability to perform the following duties.


· Coordinates the purchasing of machinery, parts, and equipment from Japan, including obtainment of quotations, creation of purchase orders, coordination of freight forwarders & US customs, receiving of items, and processing of all related paperwork.

· Maintains all files & records related to above purchases, producing data and/or reports upon management’s request.

· Assists maintenance department in obtaining technical data/information from Nissin Japan.

· Coordinates kessaishos, including adjustment of budget, obtainment of necessary approval, processing & distribution of paperwork, maintenance of files & records, and the creation of monthly reports for management.

· Creates closed project reports, processing paperwork and maintaining files & records accordingly.

· Translates various materials: Japanese to English/English to Japanese

· Acts as interpreter in various situations: Japanese /English.

· Performs various tasks, assignments, and projects as directed by plant management.

· Assists Japanese staff in various situations as needed.

· Coordinates the scheduling of all outside contractor work and services, including the obtainment of quotations, creation of purchase orders, and processing of all invoices and related paperwork.

· Handles own accounts payable for all purchase orders generated and coordinates with Corporate Accounting for month-end closing schedule.

· Creates monthly accrual report for Lancaster Accounting.

· Creates monthly capital expenditure report for Corporate Accounting.

· Creates fixed asset disposal/transfer reports for Corporate Accounting.


Secondary Functions – Job Duties: the following duties are considered secondary to the essential function listed above.


· Keep files of documents from vendors relating to changes or updates regarding their pricing or products.

· Meets with vendors to discuss quality or delivery related issues.

· Must have good phone skills/etiquette

· Other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or tech school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Strong Analytical skills.


Computer Skills: Must be proficient in programs as Word, Excel and other applicable computer software.


Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to apply common sense to understanding and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to resolve and deal with simple problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations within the production processing operation.
