Reports to: Executive Chef

Ensures that all cutlery is clean and ready for use by guests and staff: ensures that all kitchen equipment is clean and ready for use.

Essential Functions / Duties and Responsibilities:

• Empty and wash garbage cans.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Maintain proper storage of dish dollies, glass racks and flatware.
• Maintain work areas clean and organized.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Store plates on hot and cold lines for cooks.
• Wash, organize and inventory china, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots and pans per standards.
• Assist in dish set up for banquets.
• Clean and monitor dish machine as needed.
• Sweep and mop walk in refrigerators, kitchen areas.
• Understand and provide chemicals and supplies for station.
• Attend all mandatory meetings.
• Complete any tasks your supervisor/manager instructs you to complete

Physical Demands

• STANDING/WALKING: Constantly. Concrete, tile, rubber mats covering tile, linoleum, carpet, stairs, etc.
• CROUCHING (BEND AT KNEES): Frequently. Lift heavy objects, put supplies away, reach lower shelves in walk-ins, cleaning.
• BALANCING: Frequently. Carrying supplies, product, working near hot equipment.
• REACHING (OVERHEAD/EXTENSION): Constantly. Working the line extending orders to guests, reaching for objects, supplies.
• HANDLING/GRASPING: Constantly. Supplies, plates, equipment, knives, utensils, pans, food, water faucets.
• MUST be able to lift 50 lbs
• Reliable Transportation

• Full-Time Union Position
• Classification: Nonexempt - Hourly Union position
• Starting Wage is $16.00 an hour
