Job Description

Registered Brokerage Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Registered Brokerage Specialist based in United States.

This is a hands-on opportunity within a global brokerage operations environment, focused on the successful conversion and migration of partner accounts and assets.
You will own migration projects end to end, supporting new partner launches and facilitating the movement of assets between clearing and custodial firms.
The role combines operational execution, reconciliation, partner management, and cross-functional coordination.
You will work closely with brokerage operations, compliance, product, engineering, and external counterparties to resolve issues and keep migrations on schedule.
Attention to detail is critical, particularly when managing large datasets, transfer files, account records, and asset reconciliations.
The position suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can remain organized and decisive during time-sensitive conversion windows.
You will also contribute to scalable processes, playbooks, and documentation that make future migrations more efficient and reliable.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as a key operational point of contact for partner firms throughout inbound asset migration and account conversion activities.
  • Own the full migration lifecycle, from initial planning and operational setup through execution, reconciliation, issue resolution, and completion.
  • Lead the onboarding and conversion of introducing brokers and registered investment advisers from other clearing or custodial firms.
  • Coordinate operational documentation, account setup, system integrations, and conversion requirements for new partners.
  • Build, maintain, and improve repeatable playbooks, workflows, and documentation for migration and integration processes.
  • Partner with compliance, product, engineering, and other internal teams to identify, investigate, and resolve conversion gaps or operational issues.
  • Prepare, validate, and reconcile migration files and transferred assets to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage relationships with partner firms and external counterparties, maintaining clear communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Coordinate multiple deliverables and stakeholders during high-volume or time-sensitive migration events, including scheduled weekend and off-hours conversion windows.
  • Maintain accurate status reporting and documentation throughout each migration, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and outstanding actions.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in brokerage operations, clearing, account transfers, or related broker-dealer operations.
  • Hands-on experience with account transfers such as ACATS, DTC settlements, and broker-dealer back-office processes.
  • Practical experience building, validating, processing, or reconciling account conversion and migration files.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with large datasets using Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables under tight deadlines, including during weekend or after-hours conversion windows when required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • FINRA SIE certification is required, along with a Series 7 license or the ability to obtain it within 180 days of employment.
  • Direct experience supporting broker-dealer or RIA conversions from other clearing or custodial firms is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the ACATS lifecycle, DTC deliveries, SPOs, journals, ledger uploads, and related transfer processes is advantageous.
  • Experience handling fractional shares, cost-basis and tax-lot transfers, residual accounts, and other complex migration scenarios is a plus.
  • Exposure to clearing firm or custodial platforms such as Pershing, Apex, NFS, DriveWealth, or similar environments is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FINRA and SEC requirements related to account transfers and customer asset protection is beneficial.
  • Experience coordinating with external partners and contra firms during high-volume migrations is valuable.
  • Comfort reading SQL queries or collaborating with engineering teams on data validation is a plus; production coding experience is not required.
  • Strong ownership, organization, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative approach are essential for success in a distributed and fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to work core hours aligned with the Pacific Time Zone.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary.
  • Stock options.
  • Health benefits.
  • One-time USD $500 home-office setup allowance for new hires.
  • USD $150 monthly stipend provided through a Brex Card.
  • Remote work environment.
  • Opportunity to work in a globally distributed, fast-growing financial technology environment.
  • Exposure to complex brokerage operations, account migrations, and financial infrastructure at scale.
