This role plays a key part in shaping the employee experience from day one, ensuring that every new hire is welcomed, supported, and set up for success in a fully remote, international environment. You will oversee the end-to-end onboarding journey, coordinating across teams, systems, and processes to deliver a smooth and consistent experience. Acting as a central point of contact for employees, you will help build engagement, clarity, and structure during critical early stages of employment. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a people-first mindset. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to improve onboarding workflows and maintain accurate HR records. This is a dynamic role suited for someone who thrives in structured administration while still enjoying meaningful human interaction.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and improving the onboarding experience for new employees while ensuring HR processes run smoothly and consistently. You will coordinate across teams and systems to guarantee operational efficiency and a positive employee journey.
- Manage the full onboarding process from offer acceptance to full integration, ensuring a seamless and structured experience for new hires.
- Coordinate onboarding schedules, documentation, system access, and internal communications across multiple stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, ensuring compliance and data integrity at all times.
- Act as a primary point of contact for HR-related queries, supporting employees with guidance and timely responses.
- Monitor onboarding progress and follow up to ensure completion of all required steps and milestones.
- Support broader HR administrative tasks and collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve onboarding workflows.
The ideal candidate has prior HR or onboarding experience in a structured, employee-facing environment and demonstrates strong organizational and interpersonal skills. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities.
- Proven experience in HR, onboarding, or people operations roles, ideally in a remote or international environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Confident using digital tools, including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) and similar platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across distributed teams.
- High attention to detail, with strong administrative and documentation capabilities.
- Proactive problem-solver who can work independently with a strong sense of accountability.
- Fully remote role based in South Africa
- Work aligned with U.S. business hours (9am–5pm EST)
