About the Role
The Staff Accountant will support the Accounting Manager in executing a timely and accurate monthly close. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and is looking to grow within a high-visibility corporate finance function. The Staff Accountant is expected to work on-site in north Phoenix (Deer Valley area) with an option for limited remote work.
What You’ll Do• Prepare journal entries for month-end close, including accruals, reclassifications, and recurring entries across multiple entities
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances
• Support intercompany reconciliation processes, including identifying and resolving out-of-balance positions across subsidiaries
• Maintain workpapers and documentation in support of internal controls and audit readiness
• Coordinate with subsidiary accounting teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of close deliverables
• Support accounts receivable functions including customer invoicing, collections follow-up, and cash application across entities
• Assist in maintaining accurate AR aging schedules and coordinating with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies or outstanding balances
• Assist with ad hoc requests as assigned
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity consolidation concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
