Job Description
The Repack Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all repack and special project operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively coordinate labor resources, manage project timelines, maintain quality standards, and foster a positive team environment. The Repack Supervisor will work closely with Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer expectations are met while maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate repack, relabeling, variety pack assembly, rework, and other special project activities to meet customer requirements and project deadlines.
- Lead, train, coach, and develop Repack Associates to ensure safe and productive operations.
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity, providing coaching and corrective action when necessary.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels for scheduled projects and coordinate labor needs with Human Resources and staffing partners as necessary.
Project Planning & Execution
- Plan and coordinate repack projects, ensuring labor, materials, packaging components, and equipment are available and prepared prior to project start.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to staffing, schedules, and priorities to maximize efficiency and meeting customer commitments.
- Ensure accurate completion of project-specific work instructions and customer requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, GMPs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct routine safety observations and inspections, promptly addressing unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among team members.
Quality Control
- Ensure all repack activities are completed according to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Verify finished projects meet customer expectations prior to release.
Documentation & Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate records related to labor hours, project completion, inventory usage, scrap, and productivity metrics.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of materials, finished goods, and packaging components used during repack activities.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Logistics, Customer Success, and Warehouse teams to coordinate project execution and resolve issues.
- Communicate project status, resource needs, and potential delays to leadership.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve repack processes, labor utilization, workflow efficiency, and project profitability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across repack operations.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing, warehouse, repack, fulfillment, or production environments, preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coach, motivate, and develop team members.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and production or inventory tracking systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Food and beverage manufacturing experience is preferred.
