The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading the company’s end-to-end supply chain strategy across planning, purchasing, supplier management, and inventory management. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role partners closely with leaders across manufacturing, sales, finance, product development, and distribution to lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), optimize inventory investment, ensure the right products are available at the right time, and enhance supplier performance and operational efficiency.
This leader will build scalable processes, develop a high-performing team, leverage data and emerging technologies, and create a resilient supply chain that supports the company’s continued growth.

Through strategic leadership, data-driven decision making, continuous improvement, and collaboration across the organization, you'll build scalable processes that position The Pond Guy for long-term growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's supply chain strategy to support business growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction
- Lead the planning, purchasing, supplier management, and inventory management functions while establishing scalable processes that improve efficiency and support long-term growth
- Drive demand planning, forecasting, inventory optimization, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to ensure product availability while balancing inventory investment
- Lead procurement and strategic sourcing initiatives while building strategic supplier partnerships through negotiation, supplier development, performance management, and supply-risk mitigation
- Develop and manage logistics and transportation strategies focused on freight costs, carrier performance, service levels, and overall supply chain efficiency
- Establish and monitor supply chain performance metrics to improve service, inventory, supplier performance, and operational efficiency
- Partner with leaders across sales, marketing, finance, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution to lead cross-functional initiatives and support business objectives
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing supply chain team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:
- 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience with demonstrated leadership across multiple disciplines including planning, procurement/strategic sourcing, inventory management, supplier management, and logistics
- Demonstrated experience developing or significantly improving demand planning, inventory management, forecasting, and S&OP processes
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, supplier development, and supply-risk mitigation
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain analytics, and performance metrics
- Strong business acumen with exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline business processes, and support business objectives
- Knowledge of import and domestic sourcing for consumer products is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, business, or a related discipline preferred
This position primarily works in an office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and participating in meetings. It also requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk, and looking at a computer screen for long periods of time. Occasional travel throughout the facility, warehouse, manufacturing areas, and supplier locations may be required. The ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds is required.
This position requires extensive use of ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, data analysis tools, and reporting dashboards. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, sound business judgment, and the ability to build relationships across departments and with external suppliers.

Availability
This is a full-time, salaried position. Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the occasional Saturday work as needed.
