National Account & Brand Manager- Appliance Division

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a National Account & Brand Manager – Appliance Division based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the growth, profitability, and market presence of a portfolio of appliance brands across the Canadian market. You will manage strategic relationships with major national retail accounts while shaping brand strategy, promotional activity, merchandising, and product initiatives. The position combines commercial leadership with hands-on brand management and requires strong collaboration across sales, marketing, product, supply chain, finance, and operations. You will identify new growth opportunities, negotiate customer programs, and use market and financial insights to drive business performance. You will also play a central role in product launches, portfolio development, and customer engagement. Accountabilities:
  • Manage and strengthen strategic relationships with major national retail accounts and key appliance partners across Canada.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans with national customers to drive sales growth, profitability, distribution, and market share.
  • Lead contract negotiations, annual programs, promotional agreements, business reviews, and customer planning activities.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand distribution, revenue, and customer relationships.
  • Monitor customer performance, inventory levels, category opportunities, and sales results, creating action plans to achieve or exceed objectives.
  • Recommend pricing strategies, promotional investments, merchandising initiatives, and category management actions aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with retail partners on product launches, merchandising programs, displays, and in-store execution.
  • Manage relationships with independent and regional dealers, particularly across the Greater Toronto Area, to strengthen market presence and sales performance.
  • Oversee external merchandising support for rural market coverage, in-store execution, display maintenance, and new store setup initiatives.
  • Develop and execute brand growth strategies across assigned appliance brands, ensuring consistent positioning, messaging, and execution across sales channels.
  • Partner with marketing teams on promotional calendars, advertising initiatives, digital campaigns, product launches, sales tools, training materials, and merchandising programs.
  • Monitor market trends, consumer insights, competitor activity, and brand performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external marketing, merchandising, and retail service agencies.
  • Coordinate product introductions across national accounts and retail channels while partnering with Product Management and Marketing.
  • Provide market feedback and customer insights to support product development, assortment optimization, category expansion, forecasting, and lifecycle management.
  • Conduct customer presentations, business reviews, training sessions, sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Buyers, and Operations to ensure effective execution of business priorities.
  • Support demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and the resolution of customer service, warranty, and operational issues.
  • Prepare and manage annual sales forecasts, budgets, and promotional investment plans.
  • Analyze sales, margin, market share, profitability, and other financial metrics to support strategic decision-making and provide accurate reporting to leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in National Account Management, Sales Management, Brand Management, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience in the appliance, consumer durable goods, retail, or building products industries is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing major retail customers and national account relationships.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, consumer marketing, merchandising, and category management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading promotional programs, annual business planning, customer negotiations, and account reviews.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect commercial strategy, financial performance, and customer needs.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities, with the ability to influence customers, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, combined with a customer-focused and results-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and business analytics tools.
  • Strategic thinker with strong brand development, commercial planning, and execution capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–40% of the time, including overnight travel throughout Canada.
  • Ability to attend customer meetings, trade shows, industry events, and other business functions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective home office environment.
