Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Join our rehabilitation team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) providing services within a Skilled Nursing Facility in Daingerfield, Texas.
In this role, you’ll work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength, mobility, function, and independence following illness, injury, surgery, or changes in physical ability. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate PTA who enjoys building relationships with patients and seeing their progress firsthand.
What You’ll Do- Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, manual techniques, and approved treatment modalities
- Assist patients with improving strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and overall physical function
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Accurately document treatments and patient progress according to company and regulatory guidelines
- Educate patients and families on exercises, assistive devices, safety, and strategies to promote continued independence
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean treatment environment
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Texas
- Current AHA CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Valid auto insurance
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or home health experience preferred
- HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) experience preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, crawl, squat, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, or push up to 100 lbs. as required to safely assist patients
Eligible after 3 months of service.
