This is an exciting opportunity to join Oxford University Press as an HR Business Partner, where you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the people agenda for the business. As a trusted partner to stakeholders, you will work closely with leadership to drive key HR initiatives and support organisational growth.
This role offers a strong platform for professionals looking to move into a strategic HR position with end-to-end ownership of the employee lifecycle. You will be part of a dynamic HR function that values collaboration, business alignment, and continuous improvement, while contributing to a positive and high-performing workplace.
OpportunityIn this role, you will:
- Act as a strategic HR partner to the business, supporting the delivery of the people agenda
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle for 100+ employees, including recruitment, talent management, performance management, and employee wellbeing
- Lead headcount planning and oversee the recruitment process, from identifying hiring needs to onboarding, ensuring attraction and retention of top talent
- Provide performance management expertise, including identifying development opportunities to strengthen workforce capability
- Collaborate with managers to improve employee productivity and efficiency in alignment with business goals
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and overall workplace culture
- Support business transformation initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders
- Contribute to organisational growth by executing HR strategies aligned with expansion plans
- Manage pay reviews, incentive plans, and bonus cycles in line with agreed SLAs
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies, maintaining a fair and equitable work environment
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources
- 8 to 10 years of relevant HR experience
- Strong understanding of labour laws and statutory requirements
- Proven recruitment experience
- Strong business and HR acumen, including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
