| Job Summary | The Center for Applied Energy Research seeks a Research Associate Senior for a grant-funded, time-limited position for technoeconomic analyses (TEA), life cycle analyses (LCA), risk assessments (RA), and geographic information systems (GIS). The work is directed to performing a risk assessment of representative feedstocks to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Kentucky through the HEFA pathway – Hydroprocessing of Esters and Fatty Acids, which utilizes the lipids in oleaginous biomass feedstocks collectively referred to as fats, oils, and greases (FOG). The candidate must have expertise in the best methods, practices and standards for the analyses [e.g., Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions, Energy Use in Transportation (GREET), Model Framework for Biomass Supply Chain Risk (BSCR), other]. IEBC (Internal Employee Being Considered). |
