About This Position
Position Description: Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and self-sufficient Helpdesk Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring their IT issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong communication skills and a solid understanding of computer systems, networking, and customer service principles.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-level support for desktop and laptop issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting
Assist users with Windows Server environments, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime
Manage DNS configurations and resolve related issues to maintain network integrity
Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical problems and provide clear solutions
Document all support interactions in the ticketing system for tracking and reporting purposes
Respond to customer requests via phone, chat, or email, Diagnose and resolve technical issues, Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software
Configure and deploy new hardware and software
Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues as necessary
Updates project plans for IT projects including objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules and diagrams
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while working multiple priorities
Requirements:
2+ years of PC technical experience and/or training
2+ years experience in a logistics/transportation environment including TMS and EDI experience is mandatory
2+ years of Call Center/Help Desk experience
1+ years of experience with Active directory and Microsoft 365 Administration
1+ years of network experience and knowledge including firewalls, switches, access points, etc.
1+ years of experience with network wiring
1+ years of VOIP experience
Must have VPN knowledge site-to-site, client-side VPN, etc.
Proficient experience using Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft Office products.
Proficient experience using & configuring web browsers and managing browser plug-ins
Ability to pass employment background check
Ability to work both in a group and independently
