About the Role:

As an EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic), you will play a critical role in providing advanced emergency medical care to patients in urgent situations. Your primary responsibility will be to assess patients' conditions, administer appropriate treatments, and transport them safely to an emergency department. You will work closely with other emergency responders and healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless transition of care. This position requires quick decision-making and the ability to perform under pressure, as you will often be the first point of contact for patients in distress. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact the health and well-being of individuals in your community during their most vulnerable moments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current New York State certification as a Paramedic (EMT-P).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a high-volume emergency medical service environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
• Administer advanced life support interventions, including medication administration, intubation, and cardiac monitoring.
• Operate emergency medical equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently during transport.
• Collaborate with other emergency services and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient care and treatment accurately in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
