Responsibilities * Provide safe and reliable transportation to patients for medical appointments and related services. * Assist patients in boarding and alighting from vehicles using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other specialized equipment. *Demonstrate compassion and ensure patient comfort while adhering to safety protocols. * Provide basic medical assistance and first aid as needed during transport. * Ensure all necessary medical equipment is onboard and functional, maintaining a well-stocked medical kit. * Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and properly functioning. * Maintain accurate vehicle logs, documenting mileage, fuel usage, and other key data related to hours driven and passenger loads. * Coordinate transit schedules with dispatch and transport team members for efficient service. * Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless transportation. * Prepare comprehensive reports detailing medical interventions, accidents, injuries, and other incidents. * Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding patient transport, medical equipment, and privacy standards. * Follow established procedures in case of accidents, injuries, or unexpected medical emergencies. * Maintain up-to-date EMT certification and participate in continuing education and training. * Attend regular training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to stay current with industry knowledge. * Contribute to a positive work environment and culture of service excellence.
