Internship (Unpaid) at Youth Crisis Center Inc – Jacksonville, Florida

Position Overview

The Volunteer will perform a variety of tasks depending on needs of the Youth Crisis Center. This could include answering phones, completing administrative tasks as assigned by a supervisor, assisting departments with group facilitation or life skill trainings, and special projects as required. This position helps to extend the resources of the Youth Crisis Center to better assist and direct the needs of our clients

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Answering phones; data entry; filing
• Assist with facilitation of groups or life skill trainings, if needed or requested
• Understanding your role and responsibilities, as well as, the rules and safety regulations of the organization.
• Completing the relevant training and asking questions if you are uncertain about anything.
• Completing all duties assigned by the Supervisor and reporting any issues immediately.
• Arriving on time for duty and remaining professional in your interactions with all clients and employees.
• Communicating with the Supervisor when you are running late or unable to fulfill your duties.

Mathematical Skills and Reasoning Ability

Basic and/or advanced computational skills may be necessary.

Physical Demands

This is a sedentary position, and the incumbent will be required to sit approximately 70 percent of the time. Little to moderate lifting of less than 25 lbs. may be required.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
