Sadler Brothers has been in business for over 96 years! We started with 1 truck, and 1 USPS mail route in 1928, and currently serve as one of the most experienced postal contractors still operating. We are headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and have service locations in Memphis, TN; Jacksonville, FL; and Cincinnati, OH. We are a family-owned, and family-oriented company with a strong desire to succeed. We are looking to add to our team and searching for a qualified dispatcher.
Seeking an experienced dispatcher who will assist with day-to-day operations, such as scheduling, coordinating pickup and deliveries, communicating with customers and the United States Postal Service, and addressing any issues that may arise during transit. A dispatcher is an integral part of the operations team and plays a major role in optimizing logistics and delivery schedules. This person will also be assisting other operations departments with daily tasks.
Job Duties:
- Assisting with scheduling and forecasting for US mail and Freight operations.
- Addressing unexpected situations like delays, mechanical issues, route changes, call-outs, and finding solutions to maintain delivery schedules.
- Communicate with our customers concerning late routes, departures, extra trips, and any daily communication for freight and US Mail.
- Ensure drivers are on schedule for all routes and maintain 100 percent on-time performance.
- Complete reports as outlined by the manager
- Assist with Recruiting
- Utilizing specialized trucking dispatch software to manage schedules, track routes, and communicate with drivers efficiently
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office- Excel Word
Customer Service
Ability to work and perform under pressure and make quick, safe and accurate decisions.
Trucking experience is mandatory, two years minimum
Willing to learn the industry and be flexible
(Pay is based on experience)
