About This Position
Coordinates and facilitates daily operations within the Instruction Division. Provides customer service, administrative support aspects and clerical functions for the Instruction Division.
Please note that this position is an internal posting and is only available for current Davis Technical College employees.
- Greets and welcomes students, customers, and guests, providing customer service by person, phone, or email.
- Acts as an advocate for designated programs and is contact person for student admissions.
- Provides customer service, support, and clerical functions for assigned directors and faculty.
- Coordinates Instruction Division events, including events for student organizations, as appropriate for designated programs.
- Produces agendas and meeting minutes for assigned Instruction Division directors and personnel.
- Schedules student externships and manage affiliation for appropriate programs
- Prepares, organizes, and facilitates travel requests.
- Coordinates and maintains conference room schedule.
- Prepares reports and correspondence.
- Provides backup to designated Instruction Division support personnel.
- Works cooperatively to support academic and industry partnerships for designated programs.
- Assists director in coordinating Instruction Division activity with other college divisions, including student services and the marketing department
- Maintains strict confidentiality to protect student information and the institution.
- Works cooperatively within the college community.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Requires a minimum of High School graduation and a minimum of one (1) year of specialized training in clerical skills, computer operations and general office practices and procedures, plus three (3) years of responsible office experience.
- A combination of education and experience may be used to fill this requirement.
- Experience in implementation of project and/or service management functions preferred.
