Position: Janitor

Management: Non-Management

Location: Piscataway, NJ (This is not a remote position.)

Job Description: The plant janitor is responsible for keeping all production areas and office spaces free of debris, hazardous material, garbage, and other particles that deter from the cleanliness of Solidia's facilities. They will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of all internal facilities and the exterior of the building.

Who you are: The ideal candidate is a self-starter who requires little to no guidance. This person can follow safety protocols and adhere to what is necessary to maintain a plant. This person must have a mindset that no job is too big or too small. They should maintain office cleanliness (vacuum, take out the trash, clean the break room, etc.… To clean air filters, handle minor repairs, and know when to outsource duties to a third-party vendor).

What you'll be doing:

· Machine wash the plant floors

· Collect and dispose of garbage around the plant/office facilities

· Collect Cardboard and load it in the recycling dumpster

· Vaccum the facilities

· Disinfect and properly wipe down countertops, workstations, and additional areas

· Clean the locker room and bathrooms (3)

· Clean coffee machine

· Clean and organized the refrigerators

· Clean the outside areas

· Report pest to the office administrator

· Report hazardous spills to the Head of Safety and place caution signs

· Assist with kitchen/ cleaning inventory, communication with The Office Administrator when supplies need to be re-ordered

· Pump out Sewer

· Clean loading-dock

· Clean machine shop floor and equipment

· Cut weeds in the Co2 tank and other areas as needed

· Clean air compressor air filters

· Blow condenser on freeze-thaw machine

· Notify the appropriate management team on any plumbing and electrical issues

· Paint office walls, machinery, and equipment.

· Help to unload raw material and supplies as needed

Must-Have Qualifications:

· High School Diploma

· Ability to lift 50lbs+

· Able to stand on their feet for long periods

· OK with routine

· Good oral/written communication skills

· Team player mindset and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience operating a forklift

· Experience working in a construction environment
