About This Position

Description:

Business Development Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA

Company: AICA Orthopedics

Position Impact

AICA Orthopedics has built a 25-year reputation in the Atlanta personal injury legal community — deep institutional relationships and a multidisciplinary care model that PI attorneys trust. A significant portion of our established attorney portfolio represents untapped referral potential. This role exists to change that. We need a seasoned Business Development Manager to deeply expand volume with our active partners and systematically reactivate relationships within our existing book.

You are not starting from scratch. You are inheriting a significant asset and are expected to unlock its full potential. Top performers earn well into six figures through our portfolio performance-based bonus structure.

What You'll Do

Develop & Manage Professional Relationships:

  • Inherit and expand a portfolio of established relationships with personal injury attorneys and legal partners across the Atlanta metro area — built over 25 years of presence in the market
  • Deeply grow engagement with active accounts, becoming a trusted, indispensable partner to attorneys and their staff
  • Systematically reactivate dormant accounts within the existing portfolio, converting inactive relationships into consistent referral partners
  • Educate legal professionals on AICA's full care model and how it serves their clients through the treatment and recovery process
  • Ensure clients referred through legal partners receive consistent, coordinated care and clear communication throughout their treatment journey
  • Conduct regular account reviews and strategic planning conversations with key partners
  • Monitor satisfaction and resolve service issues proactively

Territory & Business Development:

  • Leverage AICA's 25-year reputation and established presence in the Atlanta legal community to deepen existing partnerships and unlock dormant account potential
  • Identify whitespace within the existing account portfolio and develop strategies to expand AICA's share of referral volume
  • Deepen relationships within active accounts to expand awareness of AICA's full service offering
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to internal leadership
  • Actively participate in legal community networking events and professional associations

Service Excellence:

  • Manage legal correspondence and patient documentation coordination efficiently and professionally
  • Facilitate communication between legal partners and AICA's clinical and administrative teams
  • Track partnership satisfaction and patient experience metrics
  • Maintain high service quality standards across all accounts

Qualifications

Required - ONE of the following backgrounds:

  • 5+ years in personal injury (legal, insurance, medical billing/collections, or case management) with strong relationship management skills
  • 5+ years in business development or account management, with a track record of building and sustaining professional relationships

Plus:

  • Proven success managing a portfolio of professional accounts
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills and CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role

Preferred:

  • Existing relationships within the Atlanta legal or PI community
  • Familiarity with personal injury case dynamics, settlement timelines, or medical liens
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

What Success Looks Like

  • Demonstrably deepen engagement across active accounts within the first 90 days, with measurable growth in partnership activity
  • Develop and execute a systematic reactivation plan for dormant accounts within the existing portfolio
  • Become a recognized, trusted resource within the Atlanta PI legal community
  • Maintain high treatment completion and satisfaction rates for patients referred through legal partners
  • Consistently meet or exceed territory performance metrics

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $75,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience
  • Performance bonus structure tied to portfolio performance
