About This Position
Arnold Machine is seeking a Regional Field Sales Representative to support growth across our core Midwest territory, ninety percent of time spent working with customers in the Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Kentucky, there may be some travel to other locations as needed. This role is focused on developing new customer relationships, expanding Arnold Machine’s regional market presence, and driving revenue growth across all four business groups: Industrial Washers, Coatings, Automation, and Build to Print. The successful candidate will engage prospective customers through plant visits and discovery meetings, creating new opportunities where Arnold Machine delivers value, and working closely with our Directors of Business Development and Application Engineers to quote and close new business. This position reports to the Sales Director and plays a critical role in executing Arnold Machine’s regional growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the Midwest territory (OH, IN, MI, IL, KY).
- Conduct regular in person sales calls, plant visits, and technical discovery meetings with prospective customers. • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with company growth and margin objectives.
- Collaborate with internal Directors of Business Development and Application Engineers to develop customer solutions and proposals.
- Execute account based selling strategies focused on targeted manufacturers and priority industries.
- Represent all Arnold Machine business groups and identify cross selling opportunities where applicable.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of customer activity, opportunities, and pipeline status within the CRM system.
- Build long term customer relationships and establish Arnold Machine as a trusted regional partner.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to Sales and Marketing leadership.
- Support revenue growth while maintaining a disciplined focus on value based selling and profitability.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in field sales, preferably within industrial equipment, automation, or manufacturing markets.
- Proven ability to prospect, develop, and close new business through in person engagement.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate with engineers, plant managers, and operations leadership.
- Self motivated, results driven individual comfortable working independently in a field based role.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship building skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Midwest territory.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and sales activity.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to navigate complex sales cycles.
- Desire to learn Arnold Machine’s products, markets, and applications in depth.
