Job Summary:

The Enterprise Architecture Manager is responsible for leading major, transformational initiatives for the Technology organization and will oversee the enterprise and solution architecture teams to strategize, plan, design, implement, document, and define the lifecycle of enterprise technology and services provided by Technology in support of the Bankers Trust mission. As a key member of the IT management team, this position will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, designing architectural and engineering roadmaps in accordance with enterprise strategies, and delivering exceptional customer experiences through advanced technology solutions.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Leads enterprise and solution architecture teams, providing direction and strategic guidance for the development and implementation of technology and business solutions to effectively support the corporate business strategy.
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to all technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change.
  • Drives the adoption of technology best practices and standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, guidelines, and procedures for enterprise technology domains and operations.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to assess technology needs, analyze requirements, and develop scalable, secure, resilient solutions that support business operations.
  • Assists in creating comprehensive SLAs, Key Performance Indicators, and Metrics for evaluating performance and success of IT initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Manages vendor relationships, VARS, and contractors to negotiate contracts, and evaluate technology solutions to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimize performance.
  • Conducts research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding emerging technologies, industry trends, and market trends in anticipation of new processes and system alterations, as well as to analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological advantage for the bank. Leverages this knowledge in providing directional options for the organization.
  • Designs and implements short- and long-term plans to ensure technology meets existing and future requirements
  • Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on, and makes recommendations for the improvement of the enterprise technology ecosystem.
  • Provides guidance and mentors Technology engineers in documentation, architectures, project plans, and technical drawings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering or relevant area preferred
  • At least ten years of success in leading and managing enterprise technology teams, encompassing cloud, infrastructure, systems, software, and data engineering with a focus on driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence in technology solutions and operations
  • At least five years of experience as an Enterprise Architect or a similar role, leading solution and enterprise architects
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise solutions in on-prem and cloud environments aligned with industry best practices and standards
  • Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive disaster recovery program
  • Experience with IT architectural analysis, evaluation, documentation, modeling design, model validation, and integration in the Banking and Financial Services industry
  • Experience in any of the following security and control frameworks is preferred: NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS, FFIEC IT Examination Handbook, ISO, or COBIT
  • Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proficiency in applications, data, infrastructure, and integration architectures, applying industry architecture frameworks methodologies
  • Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving business problems
  • Adept at speaking in detail with the technical crowd and effective in communicating technical concepts to non-technical people
