About This Position
Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms and designated public areas, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. This position manages housekeeping team members, conducts room inspections, and works closely with other departments to provide outstanding guest experiences through consistent cleanliness of the guest rooms and property.
As a key contributor to overall guest satisfaction, the role requires strong attention to detail, high energy, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards. It is a physically demanding position that involves frequent movement, lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing. While the job can be demanding, we are dedicated to training and supporting individuals who are motivated, dependable, and eager to grow.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of room attendants and housekeeping staff
· Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and service areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met
· Ensure all rooms are prepared according to hotel standards before guest arrival
· Train, coach, and support housekeeping team members
· Report maintenance issues and follow-up with the engineering department
· Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
· Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related complaints promptly
· Assist with deep cleaning programs and special projects
· Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals
· Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in an organized manner
· May be required to step in and perform room attendant duties as needed to support operations.
· Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests
Qualifications & Requirements
· Previous hotel or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required
· Willingness to learn and take direction; training will be provided
· Open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required
· Prompt and regular attendance is required
· Flexibility to work varying schedules based on business needs
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
· Strong work ethic and reliability
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
· Ability to maintain a positive, friendly demeanor when engaging with guests, demonstrate a readiness to assist with their needs, and seek support from leadership when appropriate.
