As an Operations/ Member Services Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across a variety of departments, providing critical support to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization. You will be involved in a wide range of tasks that involve all of the departments in our Chicago location. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist in the planning and execution of events, engage in public relations and media outreach efforts, and support arbitration processes by sending templates and logging case stages. Your responsibilities will also include participating in data integrity projects to help maintain accurate and reliable information, as well as contributing to resource clean-up initiatives such as document purging and office supply management. This role will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse functions within a company, preparing you for a dynamic and rewarding career in operations and beyond. You will also take part in arbitration administrative tasks to assist the stand-alone program for consumers and business escalated dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide hands-on support across multiple departments to facilitate daily operations and improve organizational efficiency.
· Assist with event planning and execution, including coordinating logistics and supporting company initiatives such as networking or promotional events.
· Participate in public relations and media outreach activities to help elevate the BBB’s profile and communicate its mission to the community.
· Support the arbitration process by sending standardized templates, logging case stages, and tracking escalated disputes between consumers and businesses.
· Engage in data integrity projects, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of organizational information through database support and quality assurance reporting.
· Contribute to office resource management by helping with document purging, supply replenishment, and general office organization.
· Assist with administrative tasks such as processing scanned complaint mail, handling returned mail, and supporting mail requests for various departments.
· Participate in professional development by attending training sessions, workshops, and utilizing online learning platforms during downtime.
· Shadow project managers and support project coordination by liaising with team members, monitoring timelines, and contributing to project documentation.
· Take part in arbitration administrative activities to support the stand-alone dispute resolution program for escalated cases.

Key Qualifications:
· Currently a rising senior undergraduate or first-year graduate student attending an accredited college or university in or near the city of Chicago, to support a flexible hybrid work schedule.
· Genuine interest in operational management, program or project management, or logistics, demonstrated through relevant coursework, extracurricular activities, or work experience.
· Motivated to pursue a career in operations, management, or logistics, with a desire to gain meaningful, hands-on experience that aligns with future professional goals and makes the internship a purposeful step toward entering the industry.
