Bilingual Hospital Representative (English/Spanish)

Reports To: Assistant Director of Eligibility
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Full-Time, On-Site)
Training Requirement:
New hires will complete paid training at our Cherry Hill, NJ office (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM OR 8:30AM - 5:00PM) for 8–12 weeks. Mileage reimbursement is provided during the training period.

PATHS, LLC is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Bilingual Hospital Representative to support patients within hospital and healthcare facility settings. In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource—guiding patients and families through medical assistance applications, insurance verification, and benefit eligibility processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with applying for Medical Assistance (Medicaid) and other eligible hospital, state, or federal programs
- Conduct patient interviews in hospital or office settings to gather required information and complete applications
- Verify health insurance coverage and eligibility
- Accurately document patient information and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Collaborate with patients, family members, employers, banks, and state/federal agencies to obtain necessary documentation
- Maintain compliance with all confidentiality and healthcare regulations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trustworthy, detail oriented and organized
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to learn and work with multi-State Medicaid eligibility regulations (previous Medicaid experience a plus)
- Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 10:00AM-6:30PM
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare facility experience
- Insurance billing or revenue cycle management
- Medicaid eligibility or public assistance programs
- Patient advocacy or social work background
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of applicable screenings consistent with federal, state, and local laws.
- Screenings may include: criminal background check, drug screen, physical exam, PPD screening, and verification of immunization records (role-specific).
- Employment eligibility will be verified through I-9/E-Verify.
- Because PATHS operates in the healthcare industry, certain screenings (e.g., OIG/GSA exclusion checks, state Medicaid exclusion lists) may be conducted on a recurring basis as required by federal and state law, client contracts, and hospital compliance programs.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent movement in hospital or office settings, including walking between patient rooms and departments.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for travel to client sites as required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $20–$22/hour (based on experience and in compliance with state pay transparency laws)
