Position Summary
Infinite Management Solutions (IMS) is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support corporate growth by identifying prospective clients, maintaining positive client relationships, and contributing execution‑level support across business development initiatives. This role focuses on research, client engagement, pipeline support, and insight generation to inform leadership decision‑making. Further duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities (List not all inclusive):
  • Regularly monitor government, public‑sector, and other business development portals (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, state and local procurement sites) to identify relevant opportunities and present summaries to business development leadership for consideration
  • Engage with clients to assess satisfaction, document insights, and communicate feedback to business development leadership
  • Gather and document client needs to inform proposals, pursuits, and solution development
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with existing and prospective clients in support of assigned business development initiatives
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine business development communications and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Support the execution of business development initiatives defined by leadership
  • Assist with pipeline development through prospecting, follow‑ups, lead tracking, and opportunity coordination
  • Engage with clients to assess satisfaction, document insights, and communicate feedback to business development leadership
  • Gather and document client needs to inform proposals, pursuits, and solution development
  • Identify and elevate upselling and cross‑selling opportunities to appropriate stakeholders
  • Collaborate with business development, delivery, and leadership teams to support growth objective
  • Prepare materials and supporting data for pursuits, proposals, and client meetings
  • Research industry trends, market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activity to support business development planning
  • Research potential market expansion opportunities and summarize findings for leadership review
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities, contacts, and opportunities
  • Provide regular activity updates and insights to business development leadership
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Development, Marketing, or related field from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience (5 years preferred) as Business Development Specialist or similar sales focused position
  • Meets U.S. citizenship and work eligibility requirements for federal contractors
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret level clearance, if required
Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion
  • Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior
  • Advanced interpersonal and rapport building skills with proven ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships
  • Proven success negotiating and closing business deals
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, etc.
  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, including Hubspot
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Competency in meeting deadlines and achieving business development metrics
  • Strong research, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams in a support role

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Visual acuity for close work, such as reading on screens and in print and working on a computer
  • Occasional lifting of materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a professional office environment
  • Sufficient physical ability to move about the workspace to attend meetings, access files, and perform other job-related tasks
