The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances for the hotel. This role supports the Finance Department by handling billing, invoicing, and account reconciliation while delivering excellent service to guests and corporate clients.
Requirements: Key Responsibilities· Prepare, review, and process guest and group invoices accurately and in a timely manner
· Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports
· Follow up on outstanding balances with guests, corporate accounts, and travel agencies
· Post daily receipts, including credit card payments, wire transfers, and direct billing payments
· Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies or billing issues
· Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, and Reservations teams to verify billing details
· Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the hotel’s accounting system
· Prepare and distribute monthly statements to clients
· Handle chargebacks, disputes, and adjustments as needed
· Assist with month-end closing and reporting processes
· Ensure compliance with hotel policies and financial procedures
· Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports
Qualifications· 1–3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience, preferably in hospitality
· Familiarity with hotel property management systems a plus
· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full time position. Monday-Friday Rate $23.00 an hour
