Overview of Role

Treehouse Pediatric Therapy is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Billing Manager to join our team in Woodridge, IL. This is a vital, in-person position responsible for managing all aspects of the clinic's billing operations. We handle a high volume of claims and require a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and aligns with our mission to provide exceptional pediatric therapy services and help each child achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

The Billing Manager will be responsible for the full revenue cycle management, which includes:

• Submitting clean insurance claims efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Accurately recording remittances and applying payments promptly.
• Aggressively following up on and appealing unpaid or denied claims from various insurance companies.
• Determining and accurately charging families their financial responsibilities (co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance).
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, billing regulations, and coding guidelines to maximize CPT Code billing.
• Handling a large volume of claims per week.
• Troubleshooting complex billing issues and acting as a problem solver for the team.

Schedule and Location

• Hours: 15–25 hours per week
• Pay: Hourly rate of up to $22/hour, based on experience
• Work Setting: In-person; either one of our clinics located in Woodridge and Batavia, IL. There will be some element of remote work after a few months of working directly with the Director of Business Operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Proven, extensive experience with billing medical insurances (required). Experience managing a high volume of claims (highly preferred). Experience in a pediatric therapy environment is a plus.
• Health Insurance Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance plans, insurance terminology, CPT codes, diagnosis codes and other relevant billing information.
• Mindset: Must maintain a positive mindset, even when dealing with challenging insurance companies, and be a dedicated problem solver.
• Computer Skills: Must be highly skilled with technology, including the ability to navigate billing software, electronic health records (EHRs), and general office applications including Google Workspace.
