Position Summary: The Audio Video Technician assists with the maintenance of houselighting, sound, and video boards during events held throughout the district. This role analyzesand resolves difficult and complicated program support deficiencies, provides professionalsound and light support for shows and other activities, and sets up, runs, and maintains the
sound and light equipment.
Key Functions:
Set up and operate stage and broadcast lighting for district events and productions
Set up and operate sound systems for school productions and live broadcasting
Provide field support for the interactive whiteboard fleet and non-touch display systems
Control and maintain fixed AV assets for Information Technology Client Services
Assist school stagecraft and production staff with setting up sound and light systems
Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and work-order information
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
Two (2) years experience operating complex lighting and sound systems
Proficient in production lighting systems
Proficient in mobile public address systems
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid drivers license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of job-related computer programs and software, including MicrosoftOffice (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows
Working knowledge of digital sound and light systems
Ability to plan, coordinate, and schedule to complete job requests with limitedsupervision
Self-starter, highly motivated, with a positive attitude and the ability to relate tomanagement staff, other employees, and the public
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and schedules
