Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Associate provides financial, administrative and clerical support ensuring payables are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to the established finance procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
Essential Job Functions
- Models company mission and values
- Provides administrative & organizational support to the AP Team
- Organizes expenses to locations by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries to create payable batches by AP portfolio.
- Reviews processed work by verifying entries to payments comparing Yardi reports to balances
- Investigates and resolves payment discrepancies
- Contacts vendors to obtain any missing invoices and statements as needed
- Updates vendor data and insurance certificates
- Reviews & resolves any utility issues in house or with 3rd party processor (RealPage)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with Yardi 7 software preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Superior financial acumen and critical thinking skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
