Position Summary:
An electric motor mechanic works to identify issues and repair electric motors used in a variety of equipment such as field cores, bobbins, armature cores, electrical motors, generators, and control axillary box. Make connection copper ring or jumper.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Basic knowledge of production and manufacturing processingKnowledge of raw materials and quality controlAble to dismantle electric motor to inspect the rotating equipment that the motors use to generate powerRepair or component replacementAble to diagnostic tests and preventive maintenanceRecord production and operational data
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years of experience in electric motor repair shop
- Able to actively listen and quickly read to make informed and necessary decisions promptlyHaving a good and steady and dexterous handAbility to cut, strip, grind, bend wire leads, or solder at end of coilKnowledge on how to examine and test rotating motorAble to identify different types of AC/DC motorsAbility to work under the close direction of supervisorAble to use overhead crane, drive forklift
