Haitian Creole Interpreter in Worcester, Massachusetts at Thom Child And Family Services

As an Early Intervention Haitian Creole Interpreter, you will be responsible for assisting Early Intervention Specialists by providing in-person verbal interpretation services.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services for Early Intervention Specialists and families during home visit/community-based visits, center-based visits, group meetings and remote when necessary.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team approach to service provision.
• Maintain compliance with all Thom Child & Family Services policies and procedures/DPH regulations and requirements.
• Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
• Translate written materials such as parent letters, newsletters, and notes when necessary.
• Maintain proactive communication.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must be fluent in Haitian Creole/English.
• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole/English required.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on responsiveness
• Ability to interpret in the pursuit of service delivery.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to meet the required competency level in Microsoft Office Software.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
