Job Description
Health Educator - MCH

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
-
The Health Educator will provide health education programs to the community, local businesses and BMC/BHS employees in support of the philosophy and objectives of BMC/BHS and with supervision from the Director of Maternal/Child Health.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
-
Experience:
-
One year successful teaching of adults in health promotion preferred.
-
Two years in health education, nursing or related field required.

Education and Training:
-
BS in nursing, health education or related field preferred.
-
Certification in specialties preferred.
-
-
License, Certification & Registration:
-
Certification in nationally recognized prepared childbirth education program preferred.

Other Requirements:
-
Excellent presentation skills.
-
Good organizational skills.
-
Excellent communication skills.
-
Ability to work independently.
-
Ability to relate well to a variety of persons
-
CPR certified
-
