Job Description

We are looking for qualified interpreters for any of the following languages to provide on-site consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services throughout the five boroughs of NYC:

Bangla, Urdu, or Arabic

You would be a great fit for this position if you are a self-starter who can provide reliable and professional interpretation services in any of the languages above and live within the NYC area. This role requires managing a flexible schedule, traveling to clients (within 5 boroughs of NYC), and establishing dependable communication. The ideal candidate will successfully collaborate with service providers to use their gift of language to serve their community.

This is a part-time, hourly opportunity to support the NYC Department of Education (DoE) with language services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Fluent in English and 1 of the following languages:
  • Bangla, Urdu, or Arabic
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have U.S work authorization.
• Be willing to travel to all 5 boroughs of New York City.
• For remote: Have access to the Internet, quiet workspace, and computer/phone.
