Wellness Coordinator Assistant at Chicanos Por La Causa – Phoenix, Arizona

OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY

The On-Site Wellness Coordinator will provide leadership for a comprehensive wellness program. The Wellness Coordinator works with the Wellness Lead Coordinator to ensure an effective Wellness Grant. The Coordinator assists in the design, implementation and technical assistance to Program grant activities and initiatives to promote the health and well-being of older adults.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

1. High school diploma or equivalent;
2. Evidence of good leadership and citizenship qualities, and an interest in students;
3. Ability to communicate well with older adults
4. Ability to conduct group activities in a fun, safe, and instructive atmosphere;
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications, as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Work directly with the Wellness Lead Coordinator
2. Leads a comprehensive wellness program.
3. Plans and implements classes, speakers, seminars, personal training, and fitness assessments that promote healthy lifestyles.
4. Conduct surveys to determine interest in and satisfaction with wellness and fitness programs, events, and services
5. Coordinates, plans, and facilitates health and fitness activities and programs for employees.
6. Plans and implements classes, speakers, seminars, personal training, and fitness assessments that promote healthy lifestyles.
7. Compiles statistical summaries of participant data, class attendance, and equipment inventories to ensure proper detailed program evaluation.
8. Provides educational presentations and training programs.
