MAINTENANCE CREW - Tree Technician in Easton, Maryland at Town of Easton

POSITION: Tree Technician

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

JOB OBJECTIVES: Responsible for trimming, planting, removing and maintenance of all trees within the town right of way. Maintenance and minor repair of tree related equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform heavy physical labor outdoors in all types of weather. Must have the ability operate the bucket truck. Must have a valid CDL class B license. Full time non-exempt position.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Will be required to be on time and maintain attendance requirements.
2. Will be required to use the elevated bucket truck for tree work.
3. Will be required to plant, trim and maintain trees within town limits.
4. Will be required to become certified as a road side tree care expert.
5. Will be required to bend, twist, squat, kneel, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
6. Will be required to work from above, at and below grade, or from ladders.
7. Will be required to assist other crews and perform other duties as directed by the appropriate supervisor.
8. Will be required to be available during weather related emergencies.
9. Perform snow removal on town streets or other town owned property.
