Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with a preference for those who have electrical industry experience. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies for our projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure electrical components, supplies, and equipment for projects and related projects, ensuring quality and budget compliance.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, securing the best prices and terms for electrical products and materials.
• Review and analyze electrical product specifications to ensure they meet project needs and industry standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage the ordering process to ensure timely delivery and prevent delays.
• Manage procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and identify new suppliers to meet cost-saving objectives.
• Ensure all purchased materials meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve any discrepancies related to procurement, including returns, warranty claims, or delivery issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that electrical materials are delivered on time and in full.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on electrical materials and equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical components, systems, and industry terminology.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and purchasing software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to electrical products.
