The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for the demand forecast across all sales channels and partners with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels, allocation strategies, and sales performance across DTC and Wholesale. This role plays a critical role in driving Baked by Melissa's growth and operational efficiency by providing analytics to inform decisions related to pricing strategy, product assortment strategy, promotion strategy, and inventory management.What You’ll Do
Develop and refine demand forecasts across all sales channels using statistical methods, market trends, and input from Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance teams
Lead the monthly demand forecasting process and collaborate with Finance on sales performance analysis
Allocate product launches by channel, including limited-time offers, and analyze seasonal performance to inform future strategy
Provide cross-functional analytics to inform pricing, promotion, and product assortment strategies
Collaborate with Purchasing to optimize inventory levels and lead SKU rationalization to enhance assortment productivity
Own the org-wide monthly business update, reporting performance against forecast and plan
Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights for cross-functional teams
Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Calm under pressure, with strong analytical, organizational, decision making and proven presentation skills
Flexible, adaptable and ability to balance multiple priorities and projects
Have a strong analytical mind-set with an advanced level of Excel
Highly collaborative nature and ability to work cross-functionally while navigating through ambiguity and maintaining attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to set up processes and infrastructure for reporting and communication
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
4-5 years of professional experience in demand planning, merchandise planning or related fields
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet
Strong strategic thinking and outstanding analytical/quantitative skills with experience in statistical forecasting methods
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage time, multiple tasks, and deadlines effectively
Experience working at an omni-channel retailer or CPG brand
