General Description
The FP&A Accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial information to support business decision-making, including cost control, budgeting, and profitability analysis. This role plays a key part in helping the company achieve financial efficiency and strategic objectives through accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support the annual budgeting process and monitor actual performance against budget.
- Conduct monthly profit and loss (P&L) variance analysis.
- Monitor cost drivers and provide recommendations for cost reduction.
- Cooperate with internal departments to gather financial data and explain variances.
- Ensure proper allocation of costs to departments, projects, or cost centers.
- Support the monthly and quarterly closing process with relevant financial data.
- Continuously improve internal management reporting systems and tools.
- Manage and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business goals
Job Requirements
Work Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or related roles.
- Experience in the lighting industry or a related field is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple audits, and meet deadlines.
