About the role

We're looking for hardworking, vigilant, and reliable individuals with a security background for temporary, full-time Security Officer positions. You'll help maintain a safe environment for all team members by controlling access, patrolling, staffing fixed posts, monitoring surveillance equipment, and reporting and documenting incidents. Our Security Officers are personable team members who build positive relationships onsite, use de-escalation tactics when needed, and stay composed in emergencies.

This is a fully onsite role at our Brooklyn headquarters in Sunset Park, paying $21/hour. Hours of operation are 6 AM–12 AM, with morning and evening shifts available. Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) is required; weekend-only shifts are also available.

What you'll do

• Secure the premises and protect personnel; patrol multi-floor areas; monitor surveillance equipment; inspect warehouse and office equipment and activity.

• Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities and safety hazards; advise personnel of policies and procedures; document incidents.

• Sign guests in and out, answer phones, maintain logs, issue equipment, restock PPE supplies, direct traffic, and other front-line duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid, current New York State Security Guard License required.

• Open availability preferred (all days and shifts); weekend availability required.

• At least one year of security experience (loss prevention, surveillance, foot patrols, fire safety, site protection, etc.), or military/first responder experience, preferred.

• Strong communication skills with managers, visitors, coworkers, and team members.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

• Fireguard/FDNY certification, CPR certification, or safety certifications (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
