Job Description

Description:

Mike Calvert Ford is proud to be the newest addition to the Vaughan Automotive Group family. As our newest acquired dealership, we're entering an exciting new chapter — bringing fresh energy, new opportunities, and renewed investment in our people and our customers. We're looking for a customer-focused Service Advisor to be the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department — guiding customers through the repair and maintenance process while ensuring an excellent experience from check-in to vehicle delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally as they arrive for service
  • Listen to and document customer concerns, and translate them into clear, accurate repair orders for technicians
  • Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer schedules, technician findings, and vehicle history
  • Provide accurate estimates for labor and parts, and obtain customer approval before work begins
  • Communicate with technicians throughout the repair process to track status and any additional findings
  • Keep customers updated on vehicle status, timelines, and any changes in cost or scope
  • Review completed repair orders for accuracy before closing them out
  • Explain completed work, charges, and warranty coverage to customers at pickup
  • Follow up with customers as needed regarding declined services, satisfaction, or future maintenance needs
  • Maintain strong CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores and meet department sales and efficiency goals
  • Work closely with technicians, parts, and the service manager to keep the shop running smoothly
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing automotive service role preferred
  • Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills
  • Ability to explain technical repair information in clear, easy-to-understand terms
  • Comfortable working with dealership service and scheduling software
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Sales aptitude with the ability to recommend services without being pushy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Ford vehicles and dealership service systems
  • ASE certification(s) a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
