Receiving Specialist in Doral, Florida at Tropical Foods LLC

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for supporting daily warehouse receiving and delivery operations, ensuring shipments are properly received, documented, tracked, and processed accurately.

Employment Opportunity: This position will initially be hired through a staffing agency for approximately 3–4 months. Based on performance, attendance, reliability, and business needs, there may be an opportunity to transition to a direct-hire, permanent position with the company following the initial assignment. Direct hire is not guaranteed and will be determined based on overall performance and company needs.

• Check in and check out drivers and maintain receiving documentation.

• Monitor warehouse email and coordinate receiving-related communications.

• Process incoming shipments, including scanning BOLs and filing documents.

• Verify BOLs, receiving documents, temperatures, seals, and shipment information.

• Monitor temperature recorders and report any temperature fluctuations.

• Notify management of shortages, overages, shelf-life concerns, or other discrepancies.

• Coordinate and follow up on truck and delivery appointments.

• Follow up on LTL deliveries and obtain PODs.

• Scan and organize delivery confirmations, BOLs, PO breakdowns, and shipment photos.

• Maintain receiving, container, delivery, and temperature tracking records.

• Update Excel files and warehouse reports as needed.

• Support cross-docking and order changes, including pick ticket updates.

• Prepare delivery documents and invoices when needed.

• Communicate with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipments.

• Perform other warehouse and receiving duties as assigned.

• Previous warehouse, receiving, logistics, or related experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Basic computer and Excel skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Good communication and follow-up skills.

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

• Bilingual English/Spanish is Required
