Wound Care Nurse in Conway, South Carolina at Conway Medical Center

The Wound Care Nurse works collaboratively with the Wound Care Coordinator to support pressure injury prevention protocols, inpatient wound and ostomy consultations, staff education and events, quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance. This position serves as a clinical resource for bedside nursing staff while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to implement evidence-based treatment plans. The Wound Care Nurse reviews clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness, validating pressure injury staging and Present on Admission status to meet CMS requirements. The position promotes best practices in wound care, skin integrity management, and pressure injury prevention efforts to improve patient outcomes and organizational performance.
