Senior Race Technician in Thief River Falls, Minnesota at Arctic Cat

Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls is hiring a Senior Race Technician to build and maintain Factory Race Team sleds and racing equipment. This role supports daily Race Department operations, tracks performance data for racers and Engineering, assists multiple departments, and travels to race events as needed.

• Design and assemble products according to job requirements.
• Maintain development models in a clean, operable condition. Service and repair to assure readiness for testing, field evaluation and racing.
• Order, stock and maintain parts and accessories inventory in Race Shop and Racer Support Trailer.
• Communicate and help other racers with sled / parts repair and set up information.
• Develop and maintain accurate records of all Race development, testing and evaluation for future inquiries.
• Provide timely and concise set up changes and tuning information to Team Arctic.
• Support Engineering and Marketing projects as required.
• Monitor production and modified builds for maximum quality and efficiency.
• Help with new products and/or features that will improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and keep product line at the forefront of the industry.
• Continually improve product development and quality for future production.
• Participate and initiate discussions on Team Arctic for future success.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and encourage their efforts. Promote personal and group interaction with the product, the dealer and customer to stay close to the product.
• Maintain entire working areas, keeping clean, orderly, and meeting all safety requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: high school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or mechanical/electrical degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience with product design and assembly.
• Familiar with shop equipment and their safe operation.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and punctual.
• Knowledge of ATV’s, ROV’s, or snowmobiles.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Able to travel for races and testing as needed.
• Possess riding and evaluation skills for ATV’s, ROV’s, or Snowmobiles.
