Job Description
The Electronic Assembler I performs entry-level electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations under close to general supervision. This position assembles components and subassemblies by following established manufacturing instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards. The Assembler I develops proficiency in assembly techniques while supporting production goals in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical components and subassemblies according to manufacturing instructions, engineering drawings, process prints, and work orders.
- Perform basic wiring, cable preparation, crimping, pinning, plugging, and soldering as required.
- Cut wire and cable to specified lengths and install components according to documented procedures.
- Select and verify parts and materials required for assigned work.
- Review pick lists and report material shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain assigned production schedules and communicate production issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow hazardous waste disposal procedures and emergency contingency plans.
- Comply with all company quality, safety, and inventory control procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 0–2 years of manufacturing or electronic assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and assembly drawings.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electronic assembly techniques.
- Familiarity with basic soldering and wiring practices preferred.
- Ability to use common assembly hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision.
- Basic computer skills.
- Frequently stand or sit for extended periods.
- Frequently use hands for repetitive assembly work.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Close visual acuity and manual dexterity required.
