About the role

Princess Polly is looking for a Retail Construction & Facilities Project Manager to help deliver new and evolving retail environments while keeping our stores safe, functional, and customer-ready. Reporting to the Director of Retail Construction, this role owns construction projects from kickoff through turnover and builds out a scalable facilities management program to support our growing retail fleet. You'll act as a key connector across Retail Development and the broader business, partnering with Real Estate, Store Design, Finance, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, store leaders, and outside project partners to balance brand standards, operational needs, quality, cost, and speed.

What you'll do

Retail Construction & Development

  • Lead retail construction projects from kickoff through store turnover, including new openings, remodels, relocations, refreshes, and capital improvements.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, scopes, risks, and dependencies to support on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, general contractors, landlords, consultants, and vendors throughout design and construction.
  • Partner with internal teams to maintain brand standards while balancing operational needs and cost efficiencies.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, workmanship, quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Lead project closeout, including punch lists, turnover documentation, and transition to Store Operations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to construction processes, documentation, and reporting.

Facilities Program Development & Management

  • Develop and continuously improve a preventative maintenance program across an assigned portfolio of stores nationwide.
  • Create scalable procedures for routine repair requests, preventative maintenance, vendor engagement, and urgent facility issues.
  • Train store leaders on maintenance processes, vendor management, and escalation expectations.
  • Respond to emergency facility issues, coordinating timely resolution to minimize disruption.
  • Track recurring maintenance trends and implement proactive solutions to reduce long-term repair costs.

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Source, negotiate with, and manage local, regional, and national service vendors.
  • Manage construction and maintenance budgets, purchase commitments, invoices, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor vendor performance, service levels, response times, quality, and cost, strengthening the vendor network as the store fleet grows.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in retail construction, facilities management, or project management.
  • Owner-side experience strongly preferred, with the ability to represent the client's perspective while balancing budget, schedule, quality, and brand standards.
  • Proven experience delivering multiple retail construction projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction, building systems, preventative maintenance, contracts, budgeting, and project financial management.
  • Experience developing multi-location vendor networks and managing service providers across multiple markets.
  • Strong project management, organization, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management software.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly in support of construction projects and retail locations.
  • Solutions-driven, highly organized, collaborative, and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership and comfort building scalable processes in a fast-moving retail environment.

Compensation Range

  • $72,000-$85,000
