Job Description
The purpose of this role is to support a high-growth and highly acquisitive,
PE-backed, mission-focused fire and life safety platform. The Payroll
Administrator will be detail-oriented and experienced in processing and
managing payroll for multiple business entities. The ideal candidate will have
a strong background in payroll operations, compliance, and reporting, with
hands-on experience using ADP systems.
This role requires a high level of accuracy, discretion, and the ability to work
independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be a
proactive self-starter who takes ownership of the payroll function and drives
continuous improvement.
Core Working Relationships:
§ Human Resources team
- Corporate Accounting and FP&A team
§ OpCo management and Accounting teams
§ Benefits carriers and other third-party HR service providers
§ External auditors
Activities & Accountabilities
§ Administer end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities on a
weekly and bi-weekly basis using ADP
§ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour
laws and best practices
§ Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, tax
information, and benefit deductions
§ Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee
compensation and benefits data
§ Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal stakeholders and
respond to audit requests
§ Manage year-end processes including W-2s, tax filings, and
reconciliations
§ Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner
- Stay current with changes in payroll regulations and ADP system
updates
§ Maintain appropriate controls to prevent fraud and protect confidential
data
