Enterprise Quality Statistician

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Enterprise Quality Statistician based in United States.

This fully remote role offers the opportunity to apply advanced statistical expertise to healthcare quality, performance improvement, and population health initiatives. You will serve as a statistical subject-matter expert, transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights. The position combines statistical modeling, epidemiology, program evaluation, and quality improvement methodologies. You will work closely with senior analytics leaders and business stakeholders to identify opportunities that can improve health outcomes. Your analyses will support quality measures, including HEDIS and STAR ratings, as well as strategic decision-making. This is an impactful role for an analytical professional who enjoys solving complex problems and communicating data-driven recommendations to diverse audiences.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as a statistical expert for quality and performance evaluations, study design, analytical methodologies, and program improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with senior analytics leadership and business stakeholders to develop quality analysis plans, conduct assessments, and identify opportunities to improve health outcomes.
  • Gather, integrate, and analyze internal and external healthcare, quality, and epidemiological data from multiple sources.
  • Design and apply statistical models to predict HEDIS rates, STAR ratings, and other quality performance measures to support business decisions.
  • Develop and conduct epidemiological studies, including case-control, cohort, and other study designs, to identify target populations and support intervention strategies.
  • Apply descriptive, predictive, and statistical testing techniques to evaluate the impact of quality initiatives and performance improvement activities.
  • Support quality and compliance reporting by collecting, interpreting, and presenting relevant data and findings.
  • Research and evaluate relevant evidence and publications to inform population health and quality initiatives.
  • Communicate analytical findings and projections to administrative and business leaders through clear, compelling visualizations, presentations, and written reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as the Model for Improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Biostatistics, Health Promotion, Evaluation, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in program evaluation, statistical analysis, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience designing epidemiological studies and applying statistical methodologies to healthcare or population-level data.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAS and SQL.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, descriptive statistics, and analytical techniques for solving complex problems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Access.
  • Ability to interpret healthcare and managed care data; experience with healthcare data coding is a plus.
  • Previous experience with HEDIS, healthcare quality management, managed care, or population health is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, and the Model for Improvement is desirable.
  • Strong epidemiological research, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex statistical findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Strong data visualization and presentation skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling graphics for varied audiences.
  • No specific professional license or certification is required.
Benefits:
  • Annual salary range: $72,200–$115,500, with compensation determined based on education, training, experience, role complexity, and other relevant factors.
